Welcome, students and parents! My name is Amy Lindsey. I grew up in Orange. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. After teaching elementary school in Sabine Pass for six years, I accepted the position of Librarian. This fall I am beginning my third year as Librarian and finishing up a second Master's in Library Science this December.

Below is a picture of my beagle, Molly. As you can see, she also likes to read! :)

Besides being Librarian, I also serve as a Reading Specialist. I am a Middle School Sponsor and I help out with National Honor Society. I am also a UIL coach for grades 3-12. I have been involved with UIL in some capacity for 15 years and counting--I love it! Finally, this year I took on a new responsibility--facilitating the Dual Credit courses through Lamar University.

I am looking forward to a great school year in 2008-2009. I hope that you will come back to visit the Library website often!
